Privacy policy.
What data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights under GDPR. No tracking unless you explicitly accept it.
1. Data controller
Villa Plaisance
Data controller: Jorge Cañete, operator of Villa Plaisance
Address: Bédarrides, 84370 Vaucluse, France
Email: contact@villaplaisance.fr
2. Personal data collected
a) Contact form
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message, and, if you provide them, your phone number and whether you prefer to talk on WhatsApp. We also record the IP address of the submission, to limit abusive messages. This data is used only to reply to your enquiry.
b) Visit statistics
If you accept audience measurement in the cookie banner, we record for statistical purposes: the pages visited, the device type (mobile, tablet, desktop), the browser, the language, the country and the referring site. Your IP address is not stored as such: it is turned into an unreadable fingerprint. A random identifier (cookie vp_vid) is used to count unique visitors, with no link to your identity.
If you refuse, or until you make a choice, none of this data is recorded.
3. Cookies used
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Technical session (form, navigation) | Session | Strictly necessary |
| vp_consent | Remember your cookie choice | 180 days | Strictly necessary |
| vp_vid | Visit statistics | 365 days | Audience measurement (consent) |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4, audience measurement | Up to 13 months | Audience measurement (consent) |
Your choice regarding cookies
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse audience-measurement cookies. If you refuse, only the cookies strictly necessary for the site to work are set. You can change your choice at any time by deleting the vp_consent cookie in your browser settings.
4. Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4, a traffic analysis service provided by Google LLC. It is enabled only if you accept cookies through the consent banner. The data collected (page views, visit duration, device type) is sent to and stored by Google on servers located in the United States. Google may use this data under its own privacy policy. IP addresses are anonymised by default in GA4. You can refuse these cookies at any time.
5. Legal basis for processing
- Contact form: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), voluntary submission of the form.
- Strictly necessary cookies: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), operation of the site.
- Visit statistics and Google Analytics: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), acceptance through the cookie banner.
6. Retention period
- Contact messages: 12 months after the last exchange.
- Visit statistics: 26 months.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months (GA4 default setting).
7. Data sharing
Your personal data is never sold, rented or shared with third parties, except with:
- o2switch (host): technical hosting of the data.
- Google LLC: only if you accept Google Analytics cookies.
8. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
- Right of access to your personal data
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time
To exercise these rights, contact us at: contact@villaplaisance.fr
